"The Gathering 2007: A Little Bit Country.."

We are pleased to present our proposal to organize and host The Gathering 2007 in the city of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

With the theme "A Little Bit Country.." we're leaving it pretty open-ended, because while the area is rich in its heritage and old-fashioned southern charm, that's far from all it has to offer. It's "..a little bit Rock & Roll", and everything else as well. We're confident that Pigeon Forge will have something for everyone, while providing a beautiful, scenic, Southern community setting for our "family" - The Gargoyles Fans!

The following sections provide the tentative details of our proposal. Please contact us if any further clarification is required.


Convention Location:
Pigeon Forge is located in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains in Eastern Tennessee. Combined with nearby Gatlinburg and Sevierville, the area is packed full with plenty of choices for lodging, delicious food, and various types of entertainment. We're currently looking into the following locations for our convention needs:

Convention Date:
We plan on holding The Eleventh Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles in the latter half of June 2007 (Hopefully the weekend of the 22nd-25th). A three-day convention schedule is planned, beginning at noon on a Friday and ending Sunday evening after a full day of events. We also plan to organize an after-con trip to Dollywood Amusement Park/Splash Country.


Convention Staff:
Where needed, further Staff appointments will be made upon acceptance of our bid.
Returning Gathering Staff:
These former staff members have graciously agreed to lend their valuable time and experience to yet another Gathering. Other Lackeys/Assistants:

Anticipated Convention Events:
The Gathering 2007 plan to host many of the same activities that The Gathering has had in previous years, and more.

Anticipated Contests:
The Gathering 2007 plans to hold contests both before and during the convention. All fans will be invited to participate in contests before the convention, and convention attendees will be able to participate in the contests during the convention.

Area Attractions:
The Pigeon Forge area is filled with activities for all tastes, and makes a wonderful vacation destination for both short and extended trips. Some of the attractions include:
The nearby towns of Sevierville and Gatlinburg provide further fun and exciting opportunities.
