Music Video Contest
The Gathering of the Gargoyles once again presents an opportunity for the fans to share their music video ideas with our attendees!
So, tell us a story, share some comedic gold, or highlight your favorite moments with music! The possibilities are endless. Have fun and let your creativity flow on screen!
Rules and Guidelines:
- Limit 2 entries per person. (This limit may be lifted depending on number of entries recieved. If so, we will announce a call for additional entries.)
- Collaborative/Group projects are welcome.
- You do not have to register for the convention to enter this contest.
- Your entry must be your own work. Not someone's you found and think is cool.
- If you submit a video that was not made by you, all of your submissions will be disqualified.
- Anonymous submissions will not be accepted.
- All entries must contain GARGOYLES content! Please keep in mind that this is a GARGOYLES Convention and at least 50% of your video must be of Disney's Gargoyles.
- Your video must be set to music. It's a Music Video contest, afterall.
- Each entry must be no less than 30 seconds and no more than 7 minutes. Your title and end credits do not count towards minimum length.
- You may not submit entries that have been previously submitted to The Gathering of the Gargoyles. We will accept them for show only, not voting, if you would simply like to redisplay your work.
- Keep it PG-13. Both the video and the music should be acceptable for family viewing. It you think your submission could not be played on the radio or basic cable channels, then it is probably inappropriate for this contest.
- We WILL preview each video, and we reserve the right to refuse submissions for any reason. (If it does not meet the guidelines listed here, if it cannot be played with our equipment, etc.)
- Do not send us original copies. Your entry will become property of Gathering of the Gargoyles and will not be returned to you.
- Deadline for submissions – Recieved by June 1st, 2007 at 12 Midnight Eastern Time..
- All submissions must be accompanied by a letter or e-mail listing your name, complete mailing address, and the title and artist of the song used.
- Submissions by e-mail should be sent to: contests@gatheringofthegargoyles.com.
- If the electronic file is too big to e-mail, you may upload it to the web and e-mail a link where it can be downloaded. (YouTube and other streaming video sites are not acceptable for this.)
- Acceptable electronic formats are: AVI, MOV (Quicktime Player for Windows), WMV (Windows Media Player), and MPG (Real Player).
- We will also accept submissions by mail on VHS tape, DVD, or CD.

We will not attempt to troubleshoot submissions that do not play on standard A/V or computer equipment.
Judging:
Videos will be shown at the convention and judged by audience ballot.
Judging categories will be Comedy, Drama, Action, and Romance.
There will also be an award for the overall "Best of Show."
By default, all entries will be eligable for any category, based on viewer choice. If you want to enter a video in only one theme category (Comedy, Drama, Action, or Romance.), please state so when you send in your submission.
