We're all familiar with the Big Three, those major magical artifacts that had a major role to play throughout the show. The Grimorum Arcanorum, the Eye of Odin, and the Phoenix Gate had many appearances, and each has been the subject of its own anthology.
But what about the others? What about the strange and wonderful things that appeared in only an episode or two, or were only mentioned in passing? The bit players, the little guys, the one-shots and cameos? They deserve a little more love, don't they?
Yes, they do! And now, thanks to the creative talents of many of the fandom's best, they get it! This year, the Gathering of the Gargoyles is proud to present its fourth all-fan book, the ITEMS OF ENCHANTMENT anthology!
With the help of Greg Weisman, the editor compiled a list of these various magic items and coordinated closely with the writers and artists to make sure each item got its own time to shine in story and in art. They extend through ancient and Biblical times, through the Middle Ages and all around the world, right up to modern-day Manhattan.
Here are the origins, the secret histories, and the truths behind old myths and legends surrounding:
